Forum Meeting last Monday.
With only five weeks to go its all systems go and all under control. We had a forum meeting last Monday and there were eleven at the meeting and five on a conference line. It was an important meeting to see that all bases were covered . Portfolios were and item discussed and in all there are twenty six portfolio areas for the forum. At this stage all is under control.

Earth Hour, Parkes and Districts Landcare, North Parkes Mine, CENTROC and the Shiny Halo,

Earth Hour Report.

On Saturday 26th March 2011, members from Parkes and Districts Landcare met at 5:30 at Northparkes Oval to take part in a community tree planting day. Trees were provided as part of the Shiny Halo blog, http://centroc.com.au/shinyhalo/ where one tree is planted for each article posted. Parkes Shire Council is a supporter of the blog, and as a result was allocated 200 trees to plant as part of a community activity.  Read Full Story

The committee that has been formed for the Environmental Hub met again this week to discuss investment of resources into a variety of projects. The value of conducting Landcare business in this way is that projects can be value- added to as each organisation on the Hub contributes funds and resources to achieve their own environmental goals.
