Thanks to the Parkes Show Committee
This year the feature of the Parkes Show was Landcare and the display was very well presented thanks to the hard work of the Show Committee members. On behalf of Parkes and Districts Landcare I wish to thank the Show Committee for their thoughtfulness in having the feature based on landcare.

Forum on next week
We are at the 10 ,9 8 7 stage of the commencement of the forum that will start in Parkes on Monday and go through to Wednesday. Every thing has been organised and the committee has been working hard on the Project for the past eighteen months. For those listeners who may not be aware of the forum it is the NSW Landcare and Catchment Management Forum that is held every two years and Parkes submission to conduct the forum was looked on favourably by Landcare Australia.

Count down to Forum
The countdown has begun to the Landcare and Catchment Management Forum, so we hope that you all have your regos in for this premier event. We have had registrations from all over the state, and it will be a great conference for not only learning how to “Think Differently” but also to meet up with other like-minded Landcarers. As we all know, the real good bits to be gained by a conference are often in the breaks!

We are also full up for the Kids Landcare Carnival that will be occurring at Kelly Reserve on the 6th September. This will be a true extravaganza of environmental fun for the kids, with activities ranging from the always popular Zoomobile, to the Picasso Cow, Recycled material musical instrument making - and performance, worm farms, wasteless lunch and much, much more.
