Earth Hour Report.
On Saturday 26th March 2011, members from Parkes and Districts Landcare met at 5:30 at Northparkes Oval to take part in a community tree planting day. Trees were provided as part of the Shiny Halo blog, http://centroc.com.au/shinyhalo/ where one tree is planted for each article posted. Parkes Shire Council is a supporter of the blog, and as a result was allocated 200 trees to plant as part of a community activity. Read Full Story

Hello Landcarers.
Hello Landcarers. A call out to all of you who might be looking for a day out this Saturday. We have a planting day at the Central West Livestock Exchange that will be starting at 10am. Grab your hat, gloves and covered footwear and come for half an hour or more and help us to make the site a bit more people and animal friendly, by popping in some more native trees.
