This was held Sunday 7th March and although the weather was not the best the cleanup went ahead in both Forbes and Parkes. In Forbes there were 50 participants and  six sites were selected the entrance roads to Forbes  The CBD and Lake Forbes. Two and a half tones of rubbish was collected on the cay which was a sterling effort.

In Parkes there were again 50 participants 44 participants there was 50% of younger people and children and there helping on the day. The areas concentrated on were Memorial Hill, Arboretum, Bushmans Hill and the Wellington Road. In all 74 bags were collected in Parkes. Food packaging and drink containers were the main items collected.  Read Full Story

Clean Up Australia Day Coming Up
This will be held on Sunday 7 March and is being coordinated by Parkes Shire Council and Parkes and Districts Landcare.The venue for registering for the Cleanup will be Lions park Orange Road commencing at 9.00 and concluding at 12.30 with a free sausage sizzle.Is hoped that the Community pitch in on the morning and help clean up the rubbish in our streets and Parkes. Read Full Story

Trust that you all got over the excitement of the phenomenon that is the Elvis festival and are ready to leap into the New Year.
